The Ministry of Energy and Mines of Peru (MINEM) has greenlit the Annual Promotions Program 2024, earmarking approximately 42 million soles (equivalent to 11.3 million dollars) to fuel electrification initiatives across 14 locations in the Amazon region through the implementation of photovoltaic solar plants. Dubbed the “Sun for All” Energy Frontier Expansion project, the initiative targets towns in the districts of Manseriche, Pastaza, Urarinas, Yavari, and Fernando Lores within the Loreto region.
