The majority of the EU countries and stakeholders in the solar industry on Monday sealed the European Solar Charter, committing to support the European solar manufacturing industry and help build a resilient supply chain.

The document, drafted by the European Commission (EC), was signed by 23 EU energy ministers, along with around 100 representatives from the European solar sector at an Informal Energy Council in Brussels. It calls for immediate actions and concrete measures at national and EU level to support manufacturers facing challenges competing with China’s dominance in the supply chain.
