Qatar aims to increase the share of renewable energy to 4 GW by 2030 as part of the country's renewable energy strategy launched at the end of April. The strategy, introduced by Qatar General Electricity and Water Corp., known as Kahramaa, aims to diversify and increase the use of renewables, especially solar energy, in the Gulf state and integrate it into the electricity mix, Kahramaa said as cited by the state-owned Qatar News Agency (QNA).
