Spain’s Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) has granted the Administrative Construction Authorisation (AAC) to 283 renewables energy projects totalling 28GW that had to obtain it before July 25, in accordance with the deadlines and milestones established by Royal Decree-Law 23/2020. The projects add up to 28,123MW and their execution will require a total investment of more than €17bn and will generate about 300,000 jobs, reinforcing the path of renewable energy growth established by the National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan (PNIEC), said the authority.
