Polish private energy company Polenergia SA (WSE:PEP) said it has launched its biggest onshore renewable energy project, the 121-MW Debsk Wind Farm, in Poland's east-central Masovian province.
The wind park consists of two arrays of 2-MW turbines -- 40 in the district of Zuromin and 15 in the Kluczbork-Osada. It is estimated to generate some 366 GWh a year, sufficient to meet the power demands of 183,000 households and to offset 318,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions into the atmosphere.
