The Welsh government has granted consent for the 100-MW Erebus project in the Celtic Sea, Wales’ first planned floating wind farm, it was announced on Monday. Located 40 kilometers (25 miles) off the Pembrokeshire coast, the project is being developed by Blue Gem Wind Ltd, a joint venture between TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTE) and Simply Blue Group. It will consist of seven turbines of 14 MW each that are currently expected to start operations in 2026.
