Swiss renewable energy producer and trader Axpo Holiding AG, together with power distributor EWS AG, intends to build a 9-MWp ground-mounted solar power system as the first alpine plant in the canton of Schwyz. The project called Alpin Solar Ybrig envisages the installation of photovoltaic (PV) modules on nine hectares of existing pastureland in the Roggenegg area, retaining the site's suitability for alpine farming after the construction of the solar plant.
