Chinese solar tracker manufacturer Arctech Solar Holding Co Ltd has been awarded a 500-MW solar tracking contract in Uzbekistan, its second in the country since the start of the month. The ground-mounted Sherabad solar PV power project will span more than 600 hactares. Already under construction, the site is set to go live by the end of the year. Once operational, it is expected to produce 1.04GWh of electricity, an amount enough to power 300,000 homes.
