The report, European PPA Market Outlook 2024, concludes that, in 2023, European companies bought more than 40% more power capacity than in the previous year, where the continent’s buyers bought 11.45GW of power capacity. The latest figures also reverse a decline in European power purchasing capacity, which peaked at 13.3GW in 2021, before falling in 2022, and suggest there is renewed appetite for clean power deals across the continent.
