August 15 (Renewables Now) - Porsche Cars North America Inc (PCNA) on Monday said its One Porsche Drive site in Georgia will be supplied with a solar power microgrid under a contract with local non-utility solar provider Cherry Street Energy LLC.
The site, which is currently undergoing an expansion, includes PCNA corporate headquarters and the Porsche Experience Center Atlanta. A significant part of its annual electricity needs will be met with the output of the solar power system, which is expected to generate 2,050 MWh a year.
