2. 인증개요

 

미국 OHSA (직업안전보건청)는 미국 내 민간 시험소를 NRTL로 지정하여 정해진 품목에 대해 NRTL에서 제품시험 및 인증을 받도록 요구함.

 

각 NRTL에는 인정되는 시험 규격의 범위가 있으며 각 NRTL은 고유 한 등록 인증 마크를 사용하여 해당 제품 안전 테스트 표준에 대한 제품 적합성을 지정함.

제품을 인증 한 후 NRTL은 제조업체가 제품에 등록 된 인증 마크를 적용하도록 승인함.

인증이 NRTL 프로그램에 따라 수행되는 경우 이 표시는 NRTL이 제품을 시험 및 인증했으며 제품이 하나 이상의 적절한 제품 안전 테스트 표준의 요구 사항을 준수 함을 나타냄.

 

NRTL 인증은 미연방 정부의 강제 승인사항은 아닌 비강제 규격이나 각 주별로 주법에 따라 강제요구 되는 곳도 있음

2) 시험 및 초기공장심사

* 연 2회 이상(NRTL 기관에 따라 정기심사 횟수가 다르며 2회~4회 실시됨)
