2. 인증개요

 

BIS(Bureau of Indian Standards, 인도표준원)에서 Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018 법령에 따라 운영하는 인증으로, 기본적으로 자기적합선언의 임의인증제도이나 정부가 지정한 643개(2024.04기준)의 강제품목(시멘트, 철강, 화학물질, 자동차 액세서리, 유리 등)에 대해서는 반드시 BIS로부터 해당인증을 받아 ISI마크를 부착해야 수출이 가능함. 해외제조업체의 경우 반드시 인도내 책임자(AIR)를 지명해야 신청가능하며, 지정시험소의 시험 및 지정심사원의 공장심사가 요구됨.

 

ISI 인증은 Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations 2018에서 Schedule Ⅱ 중 Scheme Ⅰ에 의거하여 운영 중으로 적용품목이 계속해서 늘어나고 있으며, BIS 홈페이지 내 예정된 품질 관리 명령(QCO) 탭에서 해당 품질 관리 명령의 소관부처/적용 제품/적용 인도 표준/시행일을 확인할 수 있음.

3. 인증절차

 

1) BIS에서 규정한 Form V 양식을 작성하여 BIS에서 명시한 기타 제출 서류(FM LIST) 일체를 BIS로 제출

* 해외제조자의 경우, 별도 FMCS(Foreign Manufacturers Certification Scheme)이 존재하며, 신청서를 원본으로 BIS 직접 제출해야 함

* 해외제조자는 반드시 인도 책임자(Authorized Indian Representative; AIR)을 지명하여 모든 신청서류에 AIR담당자 직인이 필요함

2) BIS에서 서류심사(Working day 30일 정도소요)

3) BIS에서 공장심사를 위한 심사관 지명 (일반적으로 1인, 2일 심사)

4) 심사관의 공장심사, 샘플검사 및 샘플링실시

5) BIS지정 시험소로 샘플발송 및 시험진행

6) 인증동의서 서명 및 연회비 지불

7) 인증발행

- 2024년 9월 가정용, 상업용 및 유사 전기제품 안전(품질 관리)명령이 발표되었으며 IS 302(Part 1): 2018을 적용하는 85개 제품이 ISI 의무 대상군에 추가되었음.
